Our sophomore son accidentally brought an unloaded BB gun to school when he switched backpacks in a hurry one morning. Some kids that like to bully him around discovered the BB gun. Not long afterward the school caught wind of it and he was brought to the office. He received a suspension followed by a recommendation for expulsion. This is when we contacted Michelle. Our son is an IEP student so we had to deal with IEP meetings. Michelle attended his IEP meeting and was very on top of the situation. Two days after the IEP meeting the school contacted us and had decided to rescind the expulsion and allowed our son to return to school. Without Michelle’s representation and vast knowledge of the educational system, our story would have played out quite differently. We are so happy we found her.
A few months later and things are still going smooth at school. And in the end the courts system decided not to prosecute our son. A win-win situation all around.
